ENDURE THE PRESENT AND WATCH FOR BETTER THINGS

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does (2 Corinthians 10:3).

Every calamity is to be overcome by endurance and endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.

Paul will admit that he walks according to the flesh in the sense that we all do. He is a flesh and blood human being, and he struggles with the same things the Corinthian Christians struggled with. But Paul wants to make it clear that he does not war according to the flesh.

Jesus relied on spiritual weapons when He fought for our salvation. Philippians 2:6-8 describes this: who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

For the Christian, heaven is where Jesus is. We do not need to speculate on what heaven will be like. It is enough to know that we will be forever with Him.
