DIVINE PAYBACK IS NOW

By: Oluwatunbi Stephen Akindayomi

David said, Mephibosheth! “Don’t be afraid,” for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul and you will always eat at my table. (2 Samuel 9:7)

“One can pay back the loan of gold, but one lies forever in debt to those who are kind.” According to the book of Hebrews 4:16, tells us to "Approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Mephibosheth file was brought forth for remembrance and he was highly rewarded. I pray that most high God will visit you today in Jesus Name (Amen).

David said in Psalm 75: 6-7 “No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves. It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another”. These words would have been cruel or meaningless unless David gave Mephibosheth a reason not to fear.

David made a covenant with Jonathan in 1 Samuel 20, promising to show kindness to the descendents of Jonathan. David gladly makes good on his promise, though Jonathan is long dead.

If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems. This goes far beyond David, giving Mephibosheth what was rightly his. He gave Mephibosheth the honor of a close relationship with the king. A similar promise is given to the followers of Jesus. Jesus told the disciples that they would eat and drink at His table in heaven (Luke 22:30).

I pray that all your blessing heading toward wrong direction will be relocated to you now in Jesus name.
