Because the Messiah has been officially presented to Israel the hostility of the Jewish leaders shows that He is being rejected, even if He was initially greeted with hosannas quoting from Psalm 118. Who can battle with our Lord? Can anyone cancel God will or revoke His plans? No.
For sure, you're the plan and the will of God on earth. His sovereign authority over your life is irrevocable.
Those contending with you are contending with God and God will contend with them for sure.
